This one is fun and rather easy. I love the effect. I had cut out the pieces and put them aside to take to a stitching day. When I started to put it together, I had forgotten what I had planned. The strips where to be in the middle. Oh well, next time.

B's quilt from her Grandmother

Almost two years in the making and it is now finished and gifted.

Here we have back from the quilters and getting the binding started. I am going to get a walking foot though as my machine does not seem to do a very even seam when it is this thick.

Here is B after being given the quilt, She was cuddled into it for as long as she was here.

and then her and J spend an evening in front of a movie, I know she loves it.

Girls Day Out Project 1 - Needles

Lovely day a few weeks ago, with new friends from the Warburton area and my daughter.

We had lovely food, Soup for morning tea, roast chicken and vegetables for lunch and scones and cream for afternoon tea.

We received a lovely gift bag with many projects from the designers and then go to start one of them on the day. There was impromptu classes on fabric turning and fabric painting.

Here is the first project that B and I started on, a needle case. This is mine.
