Mother's Day 2019

Present from my eldest daughter,

A very talented daughter, who rarely buys us presents, but takes the time to craft some awesome gifts.

This one is a pelican on a small agate disk, with a sand plant. It is no taller then 1 inch, so tiny and delicate.

Miss C talent shines

2018 projects that stand out

So many presents and such, it is had to keep up with here. Here is a small sample of the ones that stand out.

Pumpkins for the holiday shelf.

A crow made for a friend, who is an assassin in the WoW guild 'The Crows'. Note the details of bling and swords.

For another friend, a fairy dragon.

Grandma's Quilt To Miss C

While my mum was pregnant with me, she embroidered a number of cute little donkeys. She never did anything with them, except to show them to me once.

When Miss C was born, she presented us with this lovely quilt using the donkeys.

Past gifts to my eldest daughter

I was helping my daughter move and discovered a couple of boxes, where she had stored her treasures. To my surprise I found it stuffed with the toys I had made her over the years

Baby Quilt

Very well loved and used almost to bits. I remember having her watching it while it was being washed, back and forth to the laundry room to make sure it was still ok. Then squealing with glee when it came out warm from the dryer.

The Dinosaur.

Yes, she loved dinosaurs and I made her one. She was very little at the time and he shows much wear and tear.

Easter without Chocolate

We didn't have a lot of chocolates and lollies around the house and at easter I tried to give them something special.

Issues with quilting

My mother has been quilting for many years, so involved with it that she owned a quilting shop and sourced fabrics for her self and her friends. She has also had at least one cat as long as I can remember. She is forever posting photos of GingerSnap (her latest companion) and her antics at "helping" with the making of quilts.

Today, after finishing these 3 squares for  my current project,

I went to iron them open, to store them until they are needed. Meet Klaxon, my ironing helper.
